Since 1950
By leveraging experience, prioritising quality and embracing sustainability, we fuel energy transition with efficient and reliable solutions.
About us
Since 1950, we’ve been a trusted partner for heavy industries, providing high-current rectifiers and converters and thus driving efficiency and high performance. Throughout our history, we have supplied more than 3,000 converters, totalling a production capacity of more than 2 GW. What sets us apart is our ability to constantly evolve while following our history and values. We leverage our vast expertise to support energy transition: our high-performance converters are specifically tailored for green hydrogen production.
We play a central role in the energy transition and in the green hydrogen supply chain. With efficient and modular solutions, we serve as a bridge between renewable energy sources and end-users in both Power to Gas and Gas to Power processes, sustaining green hydrogen production through electrolysis for large-scale industrial plants.
Our values
Leading this global industrial group into a new era, the third generation of shareholders has assumed leadership roles, drawing from its history to foster continuous innovation.
Embracing the founder’s principles, we foster ceaseless improvement and innovation to operate as a focused, successful and value-creating company.
FRIEM is an international group with offices, workshops, and representatives across five continents. Our headquarters is in Segrate, Milan, where we occupy an industrial area of 11,000 square metres and employ over 120 workers.
