FRIEM expands its international footprint with a subsidiary in the Middle East

A strategic step to support industrial growth and energy transition projects in the region

Segrate (Milan), April 28, 2026 — FRIEM S.p.A., an international leader in power conversion technologies, announces the opening of a new subsidiary, FRIEM Middle East, based in Dubai.

FRIEM Sp.A. is part of FRIEM Group, a vertically integrated industrial power conversion platform, that includes, Poseico and DynAmp. By integrating advanced power electronics, semiconductor expertise and high-accuracy current measurement, the Group manages the entire value chain, from core components to fully integrated high-power conversion solutions for demanding applications.

This step marks a further milestone in FRIEM’s international growth strategy, strengthening its position in a strategic region. The Middle East is planning significant investments in industrial and energy infrastructure, with a strong focus on green hydrogen production and electro-intensive processes. In this context, power conversion systems play a central role in enabling stable, efficient and continuous operations across critical industrial applications.

In this scenario, the Group builds on a solid track record in the Middle East, backed by a significant installed base across electric traction infrastructure, chemical and aluminum applications and a deep know-how of high-current electro-industrial processes.

FRIEM Middle East will be coordinated by Omjit Dutta, who will lead the development of FRIEM’s activities in the region, overseeing technical sales and business development, and ensuring alignment with the Group’s technologies and operational approach.

“This step is fully aligned with our long-term industrial vision,” said Lorenzo Carnelli, CEO of FRIEM. “Expanding in the Middle East allows us to support strategic projects and consolidate our role in key industrial markets.”

Commenting on the new role, Omjit Dutta added: “Establishing a local presence will allow us to work more closely with customers and support the execution of complex industrial projects, leveraging our expertise in power conversion.”

Consistent with its industrial plan, FRIEM continues to invest in international growth, further establishing its role as a global player in power conversion technologies for industry and energy transition.
